Banana plugs & jacks are a popular solution for single-wire connections. A banana plug is the male half of the connector while the socket is called the banana jack. The female form is often found in combination with a binding post to provide two connection options in one (see our other sections). They are the ideal solution for fast connection of meters, oscilloscopes, test devices, probes and laboratory power supplies. They are equally popular for connecting Hi-Fi and stage equipment such as loudspeakers, cabs and amps.
